What is an Air Scrubber and Does It Work?

An air scrubber is a machine that uses technology developed by Aerus to eliminate more than 90% of airborne contaminants and up to 99% of surface contaminants through air purification. It attaches to the heating and cooling system and uses light waves and a photocatalytic (UV light and titanium dioxide) process to clean. Please see the graphs below.
Indoor air quality is commonly mistaken to be free from pollutants and clean. The EPA says that “indoor levels of pollutants may be two to five times… higher than outdoor levels”. Polluted indoor air is harmful to people who experience asthma, secondhand smoke, allergens, pet dander, and mold. There are milder side effects that can be lessened by an air scrubber such as headaches, fatigue, shortness of breath, and sinus congestion.

The air scrubber by Aerus also deodorizes common odors in the home. Secondhand smoke, burnt food, paint fumes, mold, and wet dog odors tend to be some of the most common lingering smells. The scrubber drastically reduces these smells.

If you are not sleeping as well as you used to, it may be due to allergy season. Dust, mold, and pollen can make it hard to sleep by irritating your allergy symptoms.

The air scrubber does work. It has been “proven effective in the International Space Station, Liberty Bell, Ground Zero Museum, Major League Baseball facilities, hospitals, schools, homes, and international hotel brands” according to Aerus Enterprise Solutions. The air scrubber complies with all Federal EPA, FDA & OSHA regulations and it is CARB certified (ozone free).

Best of all, the air scrubber by Aerus can extend the life of your HVAC system. It traps dirt, dust, and debris before it clogs your filter. This reduces coil and blower damage. The long term benefit of this is you will have lower utility costs and fewer service calls.
