Key Points For Your Furnace

Thermostat settings are set to "heat" mode
When the temperatures drop, it's important to remember to switch the settings on your thermostat to "heat" mode.

Check your furnace switch
A switch on your furnace that looks like a normal light switch should be Up or On position. Allow couple of minutes for the system to kick on.

Furnace Filter Change
We recommend replace your filter every one to three months for best performance. Dirty filters is one of the most common causes of inefficient furnace performance.

Check the Circuit Breaker
Find the circuit breaker that controls your furnace and check to see if it in the middle or Off position. If it is, set the circuit breaker to Off and reset it to the On position.
When to seek repairs on your Furnace, Heat Pump or Mini Split?
Picture this, your furnace is suddenly not heating your home enough or it’s making a weird smell. You call us, an HVAC company, and ask for us to come see what is going on. We discuss with you what we found. It looks like a part needs to be replaced or a repair needs to happen before the heating system can get back up and running. What do you do at this point? Well, the diagnosis stays the same for as long as the furnace stays in the same state. If you wait to repair later on, the dollar amount can change. You should seek repairs on your furnace, heat pump, or mini-split when:
  • Your heating system is not heating enough.
  • Your energy bill has drastically increased.
  • The heating system is making a weird noise.
  • Parts of your home are heated unevenly.
  • Your furnace is not turning on.
