Whether you are a homeowner or a renter, in a house or in an apartment, in the woods or in the city…THIS IS FOR YOU!!

Have you ever heard those random noises throughout your home? Sometimes it comes from the ceiling, other times it comes from the walls, it can even come from the floor! Most people shrug it off or simply think “Man, what is that noise?!” but they never do anything about it until it is TOO late! Your HVAC is already teeming with unwelcome house guests.

Living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, we see many seasons that vary significantly. Except the rainy season. Every season is rain season here! This means you don’t just have to worry about the winter season, but all year round. When it is winter, they are attracted to your heat. When it is spring and summer, they are attracted to your cooling. When it is rainy, they are attracted to your dry hiding places. Your HVAC system is a 4-season luxury resort for them.

You may not know this, but you (or your landlord) are supposed to get your HVAC system serviced AT LEAST once a year. This is strictly for mechanical and technical reasonings. It just so happens to also be THE best infestation prevention. An infestation (no matter how big or small) will 100% of the time cause damage. A lot of times, the owners catch it so late that the issue requires a whole HVAC system replacement.

Now, you may be thinking, “How am I supposed to keep track of this? It would be impossible!”, and you’re right! You have a job, kids, family, a social life. No one has time to be thinking about what is lurking in your attic, walls, and duct system, let alone the damage that is being done! That’s where we come in.

We’ll break it down for you:

  • What do animals do? Eat, sleep, have a lot of babies. Repeat cycle.

  • When this occurs? Typically, about once a year.

  • What they look for in a nest? A dark, warm, cozy space with lots of nesting material that is hardly ever disturbed.

The 10 intruders that we see most frequently invading HVAC systems are possums, raccoons, bats, skunks, owls, birds, bees, dust mites, fleas, bed bugs! YIKES!
