$200-$500 Cash Incentive for Minimum 95% AFUE

Elegibility 

If you live in Oregon, you must heat your home with natural gas provided by NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas, or Avista. Please read requirements listed in the Details tab before installing an upgrade.


If you live in Washington, you must heat your home with natural gas provided by NW Natural.


Single-Family Rental Properties

Owners of single-family rental properties in Washington are eligible to receive an instant cash incentive of $550 when installing a qualifying gas furnace in their rental property. To qualify, homes cannot be owner occupied.


Multifamily Rentals

Owners of condos, townhomes, duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes in Washington are eligible to receive a cash incentive of $550 when installing a qualifying gas furnace in their rental property.


To qualify for an incentive, gas furnace must be used as the home’s primary heat source.


Energy Trust no longer offers incentives for gas furnaces used as backups for high-efficiency heat pumps, also known as hybrid systems.


Incentives are subject to funding availability and may change.


Incentives are not intended to influence consumer decisions on fuel sources.

$700 Cash Incentive for HSPF 8.5 or Greater

Elegibility

You must live in Oregon and heat your home with electricity provided by Portland General Electric or Pacific Power.


Heat Pump Controls Additional $250 Cash Incentive

Controls must be included in Energy Trust’s list of qualifying products.* Controls must either have an outdoor temperature sensor and be configured with a 35°F furnace lockout, or be a qualified web-enabled model that is connected to the internet. This incentive can be combined with the $700 heat pump incentive.

$800 Cash Incentive for HSPF 9.0 or Greater

Elegibility

You must live in Oregon and heat your home with electricity provided by Portland General Electric or Pacific Power.


Home must be a single-family or manufactured home and currently use electric resistance heat* as the primary heat source. Ductless heat pump must replace electric resistance heat, have a heating seasonal performance factor (HSPF) of 9.0 or greater and be installed by a qualified contractor.


Ductless heat pump benefits

  • Provide consistent heat when outside temperatures drop to 14°F or lower.
  • Are quiet and compact, and can heat or cool individual rooms or zones—each controlled by its own thermostat.
  • Have built-in air filters that can improve air quality in homes without ductwork.
  • Can cut heating costs by up to 40 percent, compared to standard electric furnaces or electric baseboard heaters.
  • Operate without any connecting ductwork, resulting in easier installation and less disruption in your home.

$50 Cash Incentive for Smart Thermostat

Elegibility

If you live in Oregon, you must heat your home with electricity or natural gas provided by Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas or Avista.


If you live in Washington, you must heat your home with natural gas provided by NW Natural.


The following incentive is available for homes primarily heated by an electric forced-air furnace, gas forced-air furnace or ducted heat pump.

Clark Public Utilities (PUD) Rebates

If you are a Clark Public Utility customer, you may qualify for PUD rebates and incentives. $250-$1000 Cash Incentive for HSPF 9.0 or Greater

Elegibility 

We offer incentives for the installation of heat pumps in electrically heated homes. You may qualify for a rebate of between $250 and $1,000, depending on the efficiency rating and your existing heating method.


Air source heat pump

• $250 rebate for heat pump with efficiency less than 9.0 HSPF.

PTCS commissioning** required

•  $500 rebate for heat pump with efficiency 9.0 HSPF/14 SEER or higher.

• Additional $250 rebate for variable speed heat pump.

PTCS commissioning** required

• $750 rebate for heat pump with efficiency 9.0 HSPF/14 SEER or higher when converting from an electric furnace. Additional $250 rebate for

variable speed heat pump

$100-$1000 Cash Incentive for HSPF 8.2 or Greater

Elegibility

  • You must be the homeowner.
  • Your home must have cable ceiling heat, baseboard heat, an electric furnace or wall heaters permanently installed.

Limit 1 ductless heat pump rebate per home.

All existing electrically heated homes, including manufactured homes, are eligible for our ductless heat pump financing program. Applicable Clark Public Utilities incentives will be deducted from your total loan amount.


Ductless Heat Pump Rebates:

• $750 rebate for the installation of a single head system (9.0 or greater HSPF)

• $1,000 rebate for the installation of a multi-head system (8.2 or greater HSPF)

• $100 rebate for ductless heat pump replacement (11.0 or greater HSPF)

$50 Cash Incentive for Smart Thermostat

Elegibility

We are currently offering a $50.00 rebate for Nest Generation 3, NestE, Carrier Cor TP-WEM01-A, Bryant T6-WEM01-A, Ecobee-3, and Ecobee-4 (note: Ecobee Lite does not qualify for the rebate).

  • You must be a Clark Public Utilities customer
  • You must own the home where the thermostat is installed
  • The smart thermostat must be installed at your residence to qualify for the rebate
  • Thermostat must be installed on or after 04/01/17
  • Your home must be heated with an electric furnace or heat pump*
  • *If your home is heated with a natural gas furnace you also may qualify for the rebate
