The safety of you and your family is very important and maintenance includes a complete safety inspection. Here is a list of the most important test and checks included in a maintenance.

Inspection of the heat exchanger for signs of corrosion, cracks, and separations. A damaged heat exchanger can allow deadly carbon monoxide to escape inside your home.

Testing the amp-draw on the blower motor confirming it is drawing the correct amount. This can reduce the risk of fire, and help extend the life of the blower components.

Lubricating all of the motor’s moving parts, this will help reduce friction and allow the motor to move smoothly. When there’s friction, the motor has to work harder, which uses more electricity, and can wear out the motor faster than it should.

A complete check of the blower wheel and cleaning of all its components including testing for a tight seal on the blower access door.

A thorough check of the belts for signs of wear or cracks.

Check the systems air filter and replace as needed. A dirty filter can reduce the unit’s efficiency by restricting air flow.

Inspection of the flue for obstructions. If toxic fumes that result from combustion can’t escape up the flue due to a blockage the air quality in your home can become contaminated.
